Headquartered in Somerville, Massachusetts, Safdie Architects is a global practice with satellite offices in Jerusalem, Toronto, Shanghai, and Singapore to realize a wide range of projects around the world, including cultural, civic and educational institutions; mixed-use urban centers and airports; and masterplans for existing neighborhoods and entirely new cities. Since 1970, the firm has had a major presence in Israel with projects including the Holocaust History Museum at Yad Vashem, the Yitzhak Rabin Center, Hebrew Union College, Ben Gurion International Airport, Mamilla Center, the new headquarters for the National Campus for the Archeology of Israel, and as master planners of the new city of Modi’in.
